Day 1- Depart for Milan, Italy
Depart aboard a scheduled air carrier for Milan, Italy.

Day 2- Arrive Milan ~ Lake Maggiore, Italy
Arrive at Milan airport and after meeting our English-speaking tour guide transfer to northern Italy and to the beautiful Lake Maggiore area for a delightful visit. Later today we arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3- Lake Maggiore / Zermatt, Switzerland / Matterhorn
Following breakfast we depart for the world-renowned mountain resort of Zermatt, located in the heart of the Alps and at the foot of the Matterhorn. Drive to Tasch and then board a train for a scenic ride into the heart of this beautiful mountain village. After a comfortable walking tour enjoy free time to explore this lovely mountain village. Dinner and overnight in Zermatt.

Day 4- Zermatt / Lake Geneva / Interlaken / Lucerne, Switzerland
After breakfast we depart north to Lake Geneva for a visit to the famous castle of Chillon. Continue on to Interlaken, located between Lake Thuner and Lake Briezer, in the heart of the majestic Jungfrau Region. Enjoy free time to explore the quaint shops which feature beautiful wooden handicrafts. Later today, we arrive in Lucerne for dinner and a delightful two-night stay.

Day 5- Lucerne Sights / Mount Pilatus Kulm Cog Railroad
Enjoy a guided city tour of Lucerne featuring the historic city center and Chapel Bridge. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping before boarding Mount Pilatus Kulm, the world’s steepest cogwheel railway. This scenic journey winds up through lush meadows carpeted with Alpine flowers, past sparkling mountain streams and fascinating rock faces. Later today, return to Lucerne for the night.

Day 6- Lucerne / Vaduz, Liechtenstein / Munich, Germany
Depart for Innsbruck, Austria. En route stop in Liechtenstein, the sixth smallest country in the world. Following a tour of its capital city, Vaduz, journey through breathtaking Alpine scenery into Innsbruck for dinner and overnight.

Day 7- Innsbruck / Neuschwanstein / Munch, Germany
Enjoy a morning tour of Innsbruck. Continue north into Germany to one of the country’s most visited castles, Neuschwanstein. Once the home of “Mad” King Ludwig, fantasy castle Neuschwanstein epitomizes romantic architecture. Later today, we journey to Munich for dinner and a two-night stay.

Day 8- Munich Sights / Munich at Leisure
Begin today with a city tour of Munich. View the major sights of the city including Nymphenburg Palace, Marienplatz, Cathedral of Our Lady and Glockenspiel Tower. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure in Munich.

Day 9- Munich / Salzburg, Austria / Melk Abbey / Vienna, Austria
Depart for Salzburg, internationally renowned for its baroque architecture and one of the best-preserved city centers north of the Alps. Later today, visit Melk Abbey, a Benedictine abbey located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube River, adjoining the scenic Wachau Valley. Our day concludes in the grand Austrian capital of Vienna for a memorable two-night stay.

Day 10- Vienna Sights / Schonbrunn Palace
A guided tour of Vienna will include Ringstrasse, Empress Maria Theresia Monument, City Hall & Parliament, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and State Opera House. Enjoy free time for lunch, shopping and sightseeing in the historic city center. This afternoon we visit magnificent Schonbrunn Palace, home to the Habsburg family. This evening we gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 11- Vienna / USA
Following breakfast, we are transferred to the airport for our return trip home.
