Travel along the Seaway Trail to the ISABELLE R. MARTIN HOUSE AT GRAYCLIFF. The home is under restoration. Overlooking Lake Erie, enjoy spectacular vistas from the cantilevered balconies of their summer home built for Darwin’s wife. Set on 8.4 acres, you may also stroll through the gardens and wooded landscape. FAMILY STYLE LUNCH is planned at ILIO DIPAOLO’S ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Next, tour the DARWIN MARTIN HOUSE, Frank Lloyd Wright’s greatest “Prairie House”. This 5-structure complex was designed and built from 1903 to 1905 for Darwin’s sister and her husband. The next four homes will be viewed from the comfort of your motor coach while on a DRIVING TOUR. The GEORGE BARTON HOUSE, built from 1903 to 1904 for Darwin’s sister and husband. Just around the corner is the GARDENER’S COTTAGE, built in 1905 on a modest budget. The last two Wright Homes are privately owned. The WALTER DAVIDSON HOUSE was built in 1908 boasting a wood from instead of brick. Finally, the WILLIAM R. HEATH HOUSE which was built from 1904 to 1905. Mr. Heath was also connected with the Larking Soap Company and his was the sister to Elbert Hubbard of the famed Roycrofters.

A "Dam" Good Trip

Begin with a PROMENADE TOUR of the MT. MORRIS DAM, the largest man-made dam of its kind east of the Mississippi. This tour is approx. 45 minutes & consists of a guided ranger talk at the overlook, a 12 minute movie and chance to visit the museum. This tour is especially designed for Seniors. Continue on to the BIG TREE INN for LUNCH, one of the most familiar historic landmarks in Geneseo. Then travel a short distance to the NATIONAL WARPLANE MUSEUM. The National Warplane Museum is a warbird and military history museum located on the grounds of the Geneseo Airport in Geneseo, New York. Founded in 1994, the museum restores, flies, and displays vintage military aircraft from the Second World War and Korean War eras. As of 2012, the museum had renovations to increase exhibit space and is adding a dedicated area for its America at Home exhibit to show examples of American home front life during World War II.
