Travel to HIGHLAND PARK in Rochester for the annual LILAC FESTIVAL. Stop at LAMBERTON CONSERVATORY to see the Spring Blooms & Tropical Plants & then view the 1500+ Lilac Bushes & Pansy Beds. It’s SENIOR DAY at this annual event. MAIN STAGE ENTERTAINMENT begins at 10:30 am. There are special Senior Discounts and plenty of time to stroll through the gardens and enjoy the beautiful scents. Lunch is on own today at the Festival. Later this afternoon, we will set forth for Shadow Lake Country Club. Next, we’re off the THE WELSHFIELD INN built in the 1840’s by Alden Nash. Before the Civil War, the Inn was part of the Underground Railroad, caring for escaped slaves on their way to Canada.
